Every animal here is captive-bred by a specialist breeder — no wild-caught, no "farm-raised" imports, no mystery wholesaler stock. We confirm the exact animal (species, morph, sex if known, feeding status) is available, quote the exact total — overnight shipping included — and only charge your card after you approve it.
Beginner means hardy, handleable, and eating reliably — not "easy to ignore." Every reptile here is a 10–30 year commitment; the confirmation step includes checking your setup is ready before we charge you.
The best first snake in the hobby: docile, hardy, great eater, and endlessly variable in morphs. Confirmation verifies current feeding on frozen/thawed.

BeginnerCaptive-bredOvernight shipping incl. in totalRoom-temperature, no live insects required, and famously handleable for a gecko. A beginner species that stays interesting for decades.
BeginnerCaptive-bredOvernight shipping incl. in totalThe most personable lizard in the hobby — and the most commonly under-housed. Honest note: the enclosure, lighting, and heat setup costs several times the animal. We'll confirm your setup before sourcing.
Beginner–IntermediateSetup cost is realCaptive-bredCalm, heavy-bodied, and long-lived — but a famously picky eater as a juvenile. Confirmation verifies the individual snake has taken multiple frozen/thawed meals; we won't source a hatchling that isn't established.
Beginner–IntermediateEstablished feeders onlyCaptive-bredAll drama, little danger: bluff strikes, hissing, and playing dead. Honest safety note: hognose are rear-fanged and mildly venomous — a chew can cause local swelling, so they're a look-mostly species for keepers who respect that.
IntermediateMildly venomous — rear-fangedCaptive-bredWe are a sourcing service, not a warehouse. A snake shouldn't sit in a tub in a warehouse waiting for a buyer.
Typical timeline: confirmation within 1 business day; breeders ship live reptiles Monday–Wednesday only for next-morning delivery, so a Friday request usually ships the following Monday. We'll always tell you the ship date before charging you.
Reptiles ship overnight only, via the breeder's live-animal carrier service, early in the week (Mon–Wed) so your animal is never in a warehouse over a weekend. Overnight shipping is a significant cost — it is included in your confirmed total, quoted up front, and never added after you approve. During extreme heat or cold, shipments may be held until a safe window — we email you before any hold, and you may cancel for a full refund instead of waiting. "Hold for pickup" at your local carrier hub is available on request and strongly recommended in summer and winter — and someone must be available at delivery, because an overnight box on a hot porch is the risk we can least control.
If your animal arrives dead, email us within 24 hours of the carrier's delivery scan with a clear photo of the shipment as received. We will, at your choice: reship once at no charge (a comparable animal, confirmed with the breeder first), or refund the item price (shipping refunded too if the carrier/supplier accepts responsibility for a transit delay). We never ask you to ship a dead animal back.
Live goods cannot be returned and restocked — that would be unsafe for the animals and for other customers. Cancellation is free any time before your card is charged (i.e., before you approve the confirmed total). After shipment, the DOA policy above is the remedy. Wrong species, morph, or sex versus what was confirmed? That's on us: reship or full refund, your choice.
Every supplier on our roster is a breeder; the confirmation step includes asking what the animal is feeding on and how long it's been established. We do not source wild-caught or "farm-raised" import reptiles. We also do not sell giant constrictors (Burmese python, reticulated python, anacondas), venomous-front-fanged species, or any species whose adult size or care we believe the average keeper can't house for its full life. If a species isn't listed, ask — we'd rather add a responsible listing than sell you the wrong animal.
Some states and many cities restrict particular species — constrictor rules, permit requirements, and outright local bans all exist. Our confirmation step checks your destination for your exact species before any charge — state and local legality is confirmed before charging, never assumed — and we will not ship a species we know to be restricted where you live. [Placeholder: final restriction matrix to be completed before launch.]
Because the only safe way to ship a reptile is overnight, in an insulated box, early in the week — and that service costs real money. It's included in your confirmed total, stated up front. Any seller offering you a "cheap shipped" snake is cutting a corner your animal pays for.
Yes — every supplier on our roster is a breeder, and the confirmation step includes asking what's feeding and how long the animal has been established. Wild-caught reptiles are a welfare, disease, and feeding problem we won't participate in.
Yes — put preferences in the request notes. Morph and sex change price and availability; the confirmation step quotes the exact animal we can get, and if it's not what you asked for, you can decline before any charge.
Hognose almost never bite — they bluff. They're rear-fanged and mildly venomous; a prolonged chew (not a strike) can cause local swelling and discomfort. Treat them as a look-mostly species, don't let them chew, and they're a hardy, characterful snake for an intermediate keeper.
Never at request time — only after breeder confirmation and your approval of the exact total. Can't source it at that price? Hold released, you pay nothing.
